A special security department will be created within the Moscow OCOG to insure the optimal level of coordination and interaction of all parties responsible for the Olympic security. Representing the OCOG, the department will also inspect and supervise the implementation of the agreed security plan by all the authorities and services involved. The representatives of the department will directly participate in the activities of the single management structure (see above) and maintain continuous liaison with the IOC and sports delegations. The department will closely monitor the security of official guests of the Games and high-ranking officials representing the Olympic Family, TOP Sponsors, media and broadcasters.
The department will be charged with key responsibilities as to the private security companies whose efforts will be called for during the Games and compensated by the Moscow OCOG.
