Bid Book Book3 Medical Services WADA Accredited Laboratory

There is an Anti-Doping Centre operating in Moscow attached to the Federal Agency for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. The above centre has been accredited by WADA. It is currently staffed with skilled personnel and has all the necessary equipment for sample testing in accordance with the requirements of WADA and the IOC Medical Commission in force.

The Anti-Doping Centre is also intended to be used during 2012 Olympic Games. It will be specially re-equipped prior to the Games. Additional doping control stations will be set up within the Olympic Village and competition venues during Games-time. Testing, sampling and sample transportation will be managed in strict conformity with the World Anti-Doping Code and other mandatory rules and regulations.

The Moscow Anti-Doping Centre is located 15 kilometres or 20 minutes travel time by car/bus from the Olympic Village. In most cases, the distance from the competition venues will not exceed 13-17 km or 17-23 minutes by bus.
