The initial impact assessment of the area proposed for the Village has been conducted by leading experts of the Moscow City Government Department for Nature Management and Environmental Protection. Its findings confirm the ecological suitability of the area for construction of the Village. The topographical and geological features, as well as water and air quality meet the strictest requirements.

Moscow is a safe city in terms of natural disasters (see «Environment and Meteorology»). Thus, any such risks for the area concerned are virtually excluded.

A detailed report on the initial environmental impact assessment will be presented to the IOC Evaluation Commission during its visit to Moscow.
